About the Boots Mims Award
The Boots Mims Award was created in 2005 to honor individuals of unique gifts and character. Individuals who are, in their own way, as outstanding as the man for whome the award is named.
Boots Mims was one of the founds of the Triangle Wine and Food experience. He was a generous humanitarian who championed the cause of children of all abilities at Frankie Lemmon School. His compassion, encouragement, and faith inspired all whose lives he touched. Boots Mims passed away in 2003 but his legacy of selfless giving continues and shine through the individuals recognized for this award named in his honor and memory.
